Sons of Pirates & the Big Buffett Beach Band

Sons of Pirates was established in 1998 with the aim of capturing the essence of Jimmy Buffett’s musical style. Over the years, the band has evolved into a formidable ensemble comprising ten members, now known as the Big Buffett Beach Band, thanks to the incorporation of a horn section and percussionist.

Their performances are not limited by seasons, as Sons of Pirates entertains audiences year-round across Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware. From the sandy shores of Ocean City, MD, to the vibrant atmosphere of Atlantic City, NJ, and the charming locales of Chesapeake Bay dock bars, marinas, and yacht clubs, the band brings its signature sound to diverse settings throughout the region.

With a lineup that boasts horns, percussion, drums, bass, keyboards, and multiple guitars, Sons of Pirates offers the complete Jimmy Buffett experience. While initially conceived as a tribute to Buffett’s music, the band’s repertoire has expanded to encompass the broader spectrum of beach-themed tunes, transforming them into the renowned Big Buffett Beach Band.
