Band Hopes To Play On At Delaware Beach

A performer scheduled to give a free evening concert in Rehoboth Beach says the weather forecast gives him a good chance of playing, even as Hurricane Earl blows by.
Eddie Sherman, whose group plays big-band era music, said in an e-mail Friday that an 8 p.m. show at the city's bandstand will go on, weather permitting.
This is the last weekend for a series of free performances on the beach. Organizers planned a Saturday show by Mario Rocco, a singer and entertainer from Wilmington.
